WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE CORNER OF GREYTON

Two rivers.
A slower rhythm.

The sort of place where shoes come off, shoulders drop, and the day follows the sun.

Make yourself at home where the Gobos and Riviersonderend meet. Pitch beneath generous trees, find your favourite patch of riverbank, and let the mountains do the rest.

We’re a family-owned, pet-friendly, off-grid campsite, about 140 km from Cape Town. Close enough for a weekend. Peaceful enough to feel a world away.

Still wondering? Get in touch ↗
Can our dog come too?+

Yes! Sociable pets are welcome. Tell us about your pets when you enquire. The published camping fee is R50 once per pet, per booking, rather than per night.

Is there electricity at the campsites?+

We are fully off-grid, with no electrical hookups at the sites. Bring your own camping power and lighting. Reception can help with charging a device or inflating an air mattress.

What are the bathrooms and facilities like?+

The campsite has 14 toilets, 6 showers and 3 scullery areas. Ablutions have solar lighting and a wood-fired donkey boiler for hot water. Each site has a fire pit and a tap point close by.

Do we need a 4×4?+

Some river sites have soft sand and require a 4×4, especially in summer. These sites are marked in the explorer. Check the site details and tell us what vehicle and camping setup you’re bringing.

What should we bring?+

Bring your camping gear, lighting, power, a braai grid and biodegradable cleaning products. Reception’s small shop has sweets, chocolates, cold drinks, wood and ice. Greyton is about 3 km away for other supplies.

When do we check in and leave?+

Your arrival time will be agreed with the campsite. Departure is relaxed when possible. If new guests are arriving on your site, please clear the site by noon; you can still enjoy the rivers afterwards. Confirm arrangements with reception.

Can we swim, fish or bring a canoe?+

Swimming, canoeing and fishing are among the activities listed by the campsite. Bring your own canoe and equipment. River levels and conditions vary. Always supervise children and ask reception about conditions before entering the water.

How do rates, deposits and cancellations work?+

Regular rates are per person, per night. Peak dates use a minimum charge per site. The final rate, deposit, payment and cancellation terms must be confirmed with the campsite. This preview does not accept payments or confirm bookings.

What about day visits, cabins or private events?+

Outside peak season, day visits are subject to availability: R35 for ages 4+, R25 for pensioners aged 65+, free for ages 3 and under, and R10 per dog. Two equipped cabins and exclusive campsite bookings are available by direct enquiry.
